This guard glues to the top like the original Gibson from the 1950s; it does not have self-adhesive backing which dampens the volume & overtones of vintage Gibsons.
This pickguard fits only Vintage Made in USA Gibson instruments; it will not fit on any reissues or Epiphone imports. If you need a pickguard for an import, please contact us for instructions on how to order.
